PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS OF INDIANA |
|
I am very flattered to have been asked by the Professional Photographers of Indiana to present my program at the summer picnic .
Here is a brief description of my program called
SHOOT FOR THE ALBUM
Joe DeFabis, owner of DeFabis Photography in Indianapolis, Indiana will present his program "SHOOT FOR THE ALBUM". This program is designed for individuals who would like to improve the efficiency of their wedding workflow.
During the program Joe will explain his shooting techniques on the wedding day as well as post production workflow that allows him to design a custom 40-50 page album in less than 4 hours WITHOUT USING TEMPLATES!
His jpeg based workflow allows his studio to put a finished album layout online only five days after the wedding!
Joe will break down a wedding book chapter by chapter and demonstrate actual page layouts from wedding books he has created.
Joe DeFabis has 20 years professional wedding photography experience and will share some of his ideas on how to increase your wedding bookings in a very competitive market. DeFabis Photography is in the final stages of transforming his Indianapolis studio into a 100% Wedding studio and will share his thoughts on specialization.

Bridal Portraits For The Modern Bride |
|
I wanted to share a couple of images from Erin's Bridal Portrait that feature our new Look . Our Professional Bridal Portraits for the Modern Bride feature more photojournalistic poses, dramatic lighting and artistic flare.
For the fellow photographers out there, these images were taken in the studio with our new Spider Lites TD5 system. I have found since the purchase of my new Nikon D3 I can use "hot lights" instead of strobes with more accurate control. My set up uses the daylight flourescent tubes in the ceiling for fill and a TD5 light in a Larson softbox for the main light. I also use a "clamp light" found at any hardware store with a daylight flourescent bulb in it as a kicker light.
Please leave your comments - I would enjoy hearing what you have to say about our new style of Bridal Portraits for the Modern Bride.
Oh yeah, we still do traditional portraits as well for the Bride.
This image is our Tuscan Art Print A dramatic pose, combined with B&W gives this print a unique and powerful look

Out new ad for Perfect Wedding Guide is out and features one of our images taken during our wedding shoot in Las Vegas. The shot was taken at the Neon Boneyard just north of the Vegas strip just minutes from downtown. The site features over two acres of vintage signs from casinos that have been tore down and awaiting restoration. Just across the street is the Neon Museum, where fully restored signs can be seen daily. The Boneyard is available by tours twice a day and we were fortunate to have access to the facility to do these wonderful images.

Terri and I wanted to share our wedding album with all our family and friends. I also wanted to give Ken Knerringer from Studio K Photography a very special thank you for doing the wedding photography on April 29. Brian Jones, my good friend from Indy Sounds, provided the music for the reception.
As all of you know, I have photographed nearly 1,000 weddings in my 20 year career, but never have I seen such a lovely Bride as Terri!

IPPG PROGRAM ONE WEEK AWAY |
|
I just wanted to mention that my IPPG program will be held on May 1, 2007. I will be covering marketing and album design. Many photographers have trouble in designing their own albums and I am hopeful that my method will be of benefit to everyone in attendance. I will also be showing a new album design software not yet released to the public, "Leonardo" which is Graphi Studio's album design software they use in Italy.
I will also have some sample albums from Graphi Studio for take home. Write Comment (1 Comments) |

This is one of my favorite images / album layouts from Chantal and Patrick's wedding on January 6, 2007. This shot was taken as she walked down the steps of Monument Circle just prior to the wedding. The image was enhanced with several techniques I learned in Italy while attending "Yervant's" workshop and the images were offset to give the illusion of descending down the stairs. For those who are interested in album layout techniques, I will be teaching a class here at the studio very soon. I will be posting the details on my blog very shortly.
