DEFABIS PHOTOGRAPHY NEWS

Congratulations to all the 2009 graduates of Brebeuf Jesuit !  This was my last year photographing Seniors at Brebeuf on a contract basis, although I will still be accepting Senior Portrait sessions, the main focus of our Business here at DeFabis Photography will be Weddings.  It was a pleasure serving the faculty, staff and families at Brebeuf for the past 14 years.  My experience at Brebeuf has been one that I will always treasure.  I look forward to keeping in touch with all the families and students I have met this year and over the past 14 years during my association.

We are honored and pleased to announce that Graphi Studio, the maker of our Wedding Books is coming to Indianapolis in August!  Details will be coming shortly, but one of the items on the agenda is Joe DeFabis will be demonstrating the new Graphi Software

the pre shoot session of our French Lick Workshop is complete!  During the pre-shoot session, I covered and demonstrated a Brides dressing room images.  Here are a few images from the shoot with our model Sarah.

I am proud to announce that my wedding album "Laura and Aaron" shot on November 8, 2008 won the "Fuji Masterpiece Award at the Mid America Regional Conference that was held in March.  The Fuji Masterpiece award is given to the highest scoring wedding album.  The competition was open to professional photographers from Indiana and Illinois and this is the first time I have won this particular award.  The album scored "81" which means it has also earned the PPA merit at next years national convention that will be held in Nashville.

The Professional Photographers of Indiana held their spring online photography competition this week.  We are proud to announce that we took top honors in the wedding category.  Our print of a groom won "Highest Scoring Wedding Print"

this image was created using natural light and a little bit of video light at French Lick IN - The image received "Highest Scoring Wedding Image" during the 2009 Professional Photographers of Indiana photography competition.

Congratulations to all the 2009 Brebeuf Jesuit High School Concerto Concert Soloist of 2009.  It was my distinct pleasure to photograph for the second year, each soloist for the concert.  I hope you enjoy the images

The image was taken at Lawrenceburg Speedway in the summer of 2007.  The image features Tony Stewart Drivers Levi Jones and Ricky Stenhouse side by side on the banked dirt track during Indiana Sprint Week.
