2007 IHSAA 3 A CHAMPIONS BREBEUF JESUIT

This is one of my favorite images  / album layouts from Chantal and Patrick's wedding on January 6, 2007.  This shot was taken as she walked down the steps of Monument Circle just prior to the wedding.  The image was enhanced with several techniques I learned in Italy while attending "Yervant's" workshop and the images were offset to give the illusion of descending down the stairs.

For those who are interested in album layout techniques, I will be teaching a class here at the studio very soon.  I will be posting the details on my blog very shortly.

Well now that I have time to do a little catching up after the holiday rush, I decided to share one of my favorite personal images from italy.  This shot was taken of the Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal in Venice Italy at about 6:00AM.  I waited until the light was perfect and captured this image.  I have a 24x48 inch print mounted on canvas hanging in my home.  

On March 25 - 29th I will be attending the WPPI ( Wedding and Portrait Photographers International ) annual convention at the Paris hotel in Las Vegas!  I will also be entering the 16x20 print competition, which is open to photographers around the world.  The platform speakers will include Yervant, Doug Box, Hanson Fong, Marcus Belle, and Joe Bussinck to name a few.  I will also be doing some photography in and around Vegas and taking a Bride to Red Rock Canyon for some personal images for promotional pieces.  See You In Vegas!

This fall I was one of 20 photographers from around the world to attend a wedding photography workshop in Venice, Italy.  The workshop was hosted by Yervant", an Australian photographer who has hosted seminars around the Globe.  I was one of three photographers formt he United States, and the workshop truly gave me an international perspective on wedding photography.  This workshop provided me the opportunity to create romantic images of Brides and Grooms in the most romantic city of the world.  The workshop finished with a tour of Graphi Studio in Arba, Italy where they manufacture The Wedding Book and gave me the opportunity to speak with the employees that produce the wedding albums for our customers.  I hope you enjoy some of the images from my Venice Experience, and please feel free to leave your comments.

As the official Portrait studio of the United States Auto Club, it will be my priviledge to honor the 2006 USAC  Champions with an original Limited Edition Racing Print at the National Banquet January 19, 2007 at the Westin Hotel downtown Indianapolis.  This is the first print I have created, others will be posted as the champions are determined and I have rendered the photographs.  I hope you enjoy, please feel free to leave your comments.
