Custom Wedding Programs for Your Wedding

wedding programsDeFabis Photography now offers custom wedding programs, complete with an engagement picture of the happy couple.  The programs are printed on Pearl Paper for an elegant feel and brilliant color.

A Guide to Custom Wedding Programs

Custom Wedding Programs are the latest trend in weddings today.  The cover of your wedding programs  is your opportunity to echo the mood and design of your wedding. The customized images and/or text you place on your cover will let your guests know a little bit more about you and your fiance and your approach to the ceremony.  The personalized wedding programs can have an image from your engagement session for that personal touch.

It will also symbolically commemorate it in what is sure to be a scrapbook fixture. While the inner pages may also be graphically embellished and printed in customized fonts, it is less important that they are, and less likely, since the details of the text may be in revision rather late.

Many couples have the covers of their wedding programs customized and printed with all the fixings far ahead of time, leaving the inner pages to be printed cheaply and quickly as an insert. Alternatively, if you wedding programshave a template for printing the programs on your own computer, you may have one long page custom printed, with the first third as the cover, to be folded accordion-style once the additional text has been added. The other two thirds of the page may echo the cover design, perhaps by a border, or a shadow of the cover image; but it is the cover that will determine the look of the wedding programs.

Your wedding program covers double as title pages, which means that customized programs should contain essential information about the wedding including the names of the couple and the date and location of the event. Wedding program covers will often also include a general title such as "Our Wedding" at the top. This is all the text that is required, though you may choose to include a brief quotation that has special meaning for you or your wedding. This may be a line of poetry, a song lyric, a native blessing, or an inspirational quote from a significant person or religious source.

The design of your wedding programs will probably derive from the earliest ideas in your wedding planning: theme, colors, flowers, season, heritage, religion, and overall wedding design concept. For instance, if your decoration taste shows a decidedly Victorian flair, you may choose a Victorian portrait of a bride or a vintage looking bouquet for a cover image, and a curly calligraphic font. If the spirit of your wedding seems to be dominated by the magnificent cathedral it is taking place in, you may want to echo this with a bold gothic font and perhaps a drawing of the cathedral or of one of its windows.

If heritage plays a part in your design, a border of Celtic knot work or traditional African patterns may be the perfect embellishment. If you have a theme, such as horses, the beach, or fairytale wedding, this will easily dictate an appropriate icon. Without a theme, you still have a plethora of common wedding icons to choose from, including all manner of flowers, hearts, rings, couples, bells, and your new monogram. Less obvious icons may include fruit, leaves, and seasonal fixtures like snowflakes or sunsets.

Browse the Internet for ideas, and download images from clip-art sites such as Weddingclipart.com to include in your custom program cover's design. You can also create images with rubber stamps, wax seals, paper cutouts, photographs, or real pressed flowers or skeleton leaves. If you want to use craft items or fancy paper, the cover is the place to do it. Finally, consider the use of ribbon, lace, or tassels to bind your wedding program cover's pages together and add three-dimensional flair.

Your wedding program cover is like a mini-version of your overall wedding theme. Use customized programs to make the statement you want, and to serve as the emblem of your wedding for years to come.

Tips On Selecting Your Wedding Cake

Many Styles and Trends, When Selecting Your Wedding Cake

By Joe DeFabis,

wedding cakes in indianapolis

Your wedding cake should be delicious, memorable, and aesthetically pleasing.  If you are looking for wedding cakes in Indianapolis, you must consider the latest trends, styles, and vendors.  Once you consider each factor in depth and you compare pricing options, you can make an informed decision for your perfect day.  I have photographed many weddings and seen most of the vendors who supply wedding cakes in Indianapolis.  Here are my tips for choosing wedding cakes in Indianapolis.

Choosing a Wedding Cake That Will Blend with your Theme

Not all weddings are white.  In today's modern world more and more brides prefer bright, contemporary colors.  Before you can choose the right wedding cakes in Indianapolis, you will need to decide on the color scheme of your wedding decor.  Cakes must fit within the overall wedding theme without compromising taste.  Today's cake designers offer a variety of different styles.  You can go for the clean and classic wedding cake or a more unique shaped tier cake.  The traditional wedding cake remains round and tiered.  If you want to think outside of the box, go for a non-white cake with oblong or squared tiers.

Tips For Hiring a Wedding Videographer in Indianapolis

Whether you are planning a wedding, anniversary, graduation or any other important family event, hiring the best wedding videographer in Indianapolis to film your affair should be top priority on your list. If the event is special enough to warrant recording, you should ensure the videographer in Indianapolis you choose has the credentials to get the job done right. Finding a qualified wedding videographer in Indianapolis is no small task, especially if you have never hired one before. Similar to looking for a qualified doctor or lawyer, you require more than just technical skill in the individual you choose, though this is very important. You want a wedding videographer in indianapolis  you can trust to cover your event with as much passion and dedication as if it were his own event.

How Do You Find a Wedding Videographer in Indianapolis ?

Word of mouth may be one of your best bets for finding a top-notch videographer in Indianapolis. If you can get referrals from other family members, friends or colleagues, that would be an excellent start. Some of the qualifications you can look for in a videographer in Indianapolis are: substantial experience in his field and experience filming your type of event, excellent people handling skills, dependability, creativity, professionalism and good communications skills.

You should take time to interview every prospective videographer in Indianapolis you are considering hiring before finalizing any decision on which one to choose. During your interview, ask as many questions as you can think of concerning the videographer’s background, experience, knowledge and skills in addition to getting references of past events he has covered and reviewing some of his best works. The more communication you have with your wedding videographer in Indianapolis, the better chance you have of establishing a rapport, which is essential for the job at hand.  Every wedding videographer in Indianapolis should have samples to show you.

Once you have chosen a wedding videographer in Indianapolis to represent your event, you can discuss the details of how you want it covered. Some videographers cover their events in a photojournalistic style, which presents the event much like a newscast with no editing whatsoever, resulting in a film lasting hours. Cinematic videos resemble movies in that they are edited and polished to a final version of an hour or less in length. Some top-notch videographers in the Indianapolis area, which you can consider hiring for your occasion, are Spot on Filmworks and Movietyme Productions. You can peruse their websites online to get a good indication of their work.

A highly professional videographer in Indianapolis can use his or her creative skills to provide you with an incredible keepsake for your special occasion. His team of specialists knows just how to cover an event in style down to the last detail. Costs of the services of a professional wedding videographer in Indianapolis can be quite pricey, sometimes ranging from id="mce_marker",000 upwards. However, many people consider it well worth the expense as the video later provides priceless memories that will last for years to come. With cinematic video coverage, you work with your videographer to choose the most meaningful highlights of your event to include in your final footage. In this way, you will have a final product that gives a true picture of the day and that expresses the sentiments most important to you.

A high-class wedding videographer in Indianapolis will be able to capture not just the physical aspect of your event but the spirit behind what is happening in each episode of filming. In essence, he becomes the camera man, director and editor all rolled up in one. His artistic and creative skills will be used to the full from beginning to end to produce your final product. That is why it is important to choose the right person for the job from the very beginning as he will be instrumental in your obtaining a beautifully finished memoir of one of the happiest occasions of your life.
